We guarantee a daily lunch that contains 40% of the estimated kilocaloric load that beneficiaries should consume for their optimal development. In this way, we prevent malnutrition in Venezuela by offering balanced meals to children, pregnant women, nursing mothers and the elderly.
On average, vulnerable families in Venezuela spend 90% of their income on food.

Health and Nutrition

We evaluate the nutritional status of the beneficiaries of the community kitchens and we carry out anthropometry training for the mothers. We also implement nutrition programs for groups of children suffering from acute malnutrition.

We also do semi-annual deworming sessions for boys and girls, which allows them to keep their bodies free of parasites and avoid diseases as a consequence.

Education

Education

We train mothers in educational areas for 3 months, so that they can open educational spaces in their communities and reinforce in children the area of ​​reading, writing and logical and mathematical processes as a mitigation strategy in the face of high levels of school delay.

We have also ventured into alliances such as TecniKids to teach adults and children knowledge in new areas such as Programming.

We sensitize and train children, parents and caregivers on the importance of a safe environment, free of exploitation, physical, psychological and sexual violence.

Gender

Gender

We provide information to people so they can identify gender-based violence, known as any physical, psychological, social or verbal aggression directed at a person because of their gender.

We create a safe space so that the people who go to our community kitchens can be aware of the implications of gender violence, how to prevent it and help routes in case they are victims or survivors. We offer care in the psychosocial area through a victim care network.

Female Leadership Program

We strengthen autonomy and promote female community leadership as a means to rebuild the welfare of the country.

Our model combines spaces for participatory and reflective learning with a rights-based approach, with community activism that promotes the active participation of women as agents of transformation in their communities. In this way, we have built a network of more than 350 women leaders between the ages of 18 and 70 in 7 states of Venezuela.

Sustento Gastronómico

Sustento Gastronómico

We offer tools and train collaborating mothers in the community kitchens to generate livelihoods as cooks. It is a social entrepreneurship program.

Sustento Textil

We use textile art as a creative and productive practice to encourage women to investigate their potential to make textile art a trade that provides them with means of self-sustainability.
