Areas of Intervention

Areas of Intervention

Food Security

Thanks to our community kitchens, we guarantee a daily lunch that contains 40% of the kilocalorie load that our beneficiaries should consume. In this way, we prevent malnutrition in children, pregnant women, nursing mothers, and the elderly. These spaces are the result of the organization of fathers and mothers who make their homes available. They are a meeting place where different initiatives are developed.

Nutrition

We evaluate the nutritional status of the beneficiaries and conduct anthropometry training for mothers. We implement nutritional treatments for acutely malnourished children.

We carry out biannual deworming sessions for boys and girls to keep their bodies free of parasites and prevent diseases.

Community Leadership

We empower autonomy and promote leadership as a means for the reconstruction of community ties.

We combine participatory and reflective learning spaces with community activism that promotes the participation of people as agents of transformation in their communities.

Protection

We provide safe and violence-free spaces for women and children. We offer respectful and dignified treatment to all people, always preserving the privacy and confidentiality of our beneficiaries. Our commitment is to provide an environment free of any type of abuse, child abuse, and gender violence.

Our training programs empower communities to protect children and women. In addition, we carry out an exhaustive analysis of the cases that arise in the communities, to understand the situation in depth and to be able to refer each case to a personalized accompaniment according to their specific needs.

Education

We train mothers in education to open educational spaces in their communities and reinforce the children’s reading, writing, and logical-mathematical processes as a strategy to mitigate the high levels of school tardiness.

Livelihood

We strengthen the social and economic empowerment of our beneficiaries. Through our training programs, we train them in the areas of textiles, hospitality, and customer service, providing them with the knowledge and tools necessary to develop valuable skills in these fields.

In this way, we expand their employment and income opportunities, contributing to their economic autonomy and social integration. With this support, we seek to foster the development of sustainable livelihoods for both the beneficiaries and their families.
